HAART (Highly Active Retroviral Therapy)

Immune therapies are treatments which influence or modify certain components of the immune system. besides drugs a number of therapies are being looked into for use by people with HIV by boosting the body’s immunity.

How HIV drugs are combined and the order in which they are given are important factors to consider when designing treatment strategies for patients new to antiretroviral therapy, says a new study funded by the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), one of the National Institutes of Health. When people with HIV start treatment using HIV drugs, the drugs keep their effectiveness for a great period when one of several regimens is used.

HAART (Highly Active Antiretroviral Therapy) employs combinations of anti-HIV drugs to help suppress the virus in people with HIV/AIDS. The goal of HAART is to combine three or more drugs from one or more different classes of anti-HIV drugs to suppress HIV replication and prevent progression to AIDS and death.

The goal of HAART is to combine three or more drugs from one or more different classes of anti-HIV drugs to suppress HIV replication and prevent progression to AIDS and death.

HIV drug combinations can lose effectiveness over time and doctors must then adjust treatment. Combination AIDS HIV regimens are our currently most effective method in the fight against HIV/AIDS.

The effectiveness of different drug combinations may diminish over time, however, and physicians often must implement new ones over the course of a person’s treatment. Combination AIDS regimens are our currently most effective method in the fight against HIV/AIDS. Using this regimens we have been able to prolong lives, improve quality of life and even slow the transmission of HIV/AIDS.

Types of Laser Hair Treatments

In recent years, laser treatment has become a popular choice for people wishing to remove unwanted hair. Laser treatments have been improved making treatment safer and much less discomforting. Lasers can be performed on all skin types and colors and they can be used on any area of the body that has excess hair.

Laser hair removal works by targeting the pigment contained in the hair follicle. Melanin is the pigment that causes the hair to be light or dark. People with light hair have less melanin so it is more difficult to remove hair. The hair follicles contain cells under the skin that cause the hair to grow. The laser heats up and vaporizes the follicle which damages and removes the hair

The following are several laser hair removal methods one should consider before undergoing treatment:

Ruby Laser: The Ruby Laser is the earliest hair removal method. It works well on light and fine hair. The method is less effective with people who have darker skin because of the larger amount of melanin that is present. As well, it is not recommended for people who require a large area of air to be removed. The red color at 694nm can be is effectively absorbed by the melanin.

Alexandrite Laser: The Alexandrite Laser is very effective at treating large area of the body containing excess hair. It is also popular with people who have fair skin. It is the one of the fastest methods of removing hair. When using the laser, a reddish light is created and carries a deep penetration rate. It produces a high repetition speed and it can cover up to an 18mm laser spot area on the skin. It can often take about 30 minutes or less to complete an alexandrite laser treatment of the whole back.

Diode Laser: The Diode Laser is one of the best methods of removing hair on dark skin. It is not very useful on lighter skin. It produces a long wavelength allowing for a more deep penetration of the pigment. The laser diode dispenses an invisible light at about 800 nm. It is effective on large areas of the skin. The repletion rate is fast allowing for a shorter treatment time.

Long Pulse Nd: Yag Laser: The Long Pulse Nd: Yag laser is effective on a number of skin types. However, it is more effective on darker skin. Larger areas can be treated because of the quick repetition rates.

Intense Pulsed Light Devices: Although not actually lasers, they are considered a laser equivalent. They use a method called selective photothermolysis to remove hair. They produce non-coherent light of many different wavelengths. The light energy has shorter wavelengths; therefore treatment of darker skin is less effective. They are also a bit more complicated to use.

Improvements in laser hair removal methods have resulted in an increased demand for the treatment. Before undergoing treatment, you need to know what it in involves and what kind of treatment will match your skin type. It is important to remember that you will have to have several treatments to achieve optimum results. If you are considering laser treatment as a getting rid of excess hair, you should consult with a laser treatment practitioner to get a better understanding of its benefits and what you need to know before going through the hair removal treatment.

The Power Of Knowing About Your Past Life

The concept of having a past life or perhaps several is reincarnation. It is an ancient concept in various cultures the world over. Some of these include Africa, Japan, Australian aborigines as well as some New Age religions and modern Wicca. They believe we have lived past lives and that those past lives influence us today.

Each past life influences our health, mental wellbeing and our social interactions. It is a good idea to know thyself to understand who we were in a past life, to settle the mischievous nature that may in surplus from the past life and to incorporate all the accumulated strengths in order to become a stronger person today and in any future lives.

How can you tell you have a past life? You may not be able to, but in many cases you will have disturbing dreams, or memories while you’re awake that do not belong to you. Many people who believe in reincarnation believe that we all have past lives (though if you do the math, it’s more probable that there are at least some new souls!) Other indications:

* A strong love or attraction to some culture that you were not exposed to and that makes no sense in your current life. If you love Mesopotamian art, for instance, you may have a past life from that region in the era you find interesting. Learn more about the art that interests you; if it all comes from a distinct and relatively small time period, that’s a pretty good indication that there’s something there.

* Abnormally strong emotions about some incident in history if, for instance, you tear up when you look at Washington Crossing the Delaware but not at any other revolutionary art, you may have been involved in that incident in a past life.

* You might be experiencing different allergies or problems that were not previously present or detected or you might have some psychological or physical problems that you cannot explain which might be linked to your past life.

This is by no means an exhaustive list, and just the fact that you have one of these indicators does not mean you are remembering a past life. Look for patterns in your life, ranges of things that attract you for no good reason, and you may start to home in on similarities that will help you piece together an idea of what your past life or lives may have been.

It is possible to access your past life or lives with self-hypnosis or by being hypnotized by someone else. There are specialists past life regression therapists who are well worth a visit to. A past life regression is a form of deep hypnotic remembering that can get to those memories of past lives that subconsciously are there.

While searching for a form of self-hypnosis to access your past life you want to find a method that can double as a deep relaxation technique. You should work with this type of technique, until you feel comfortable using it before trying past life regression.

There is nothing significant to worry over in the terms of safety, since what should happen is that you are able to experience a past life just as vividly as if you were actually going back in time. It may not be as intense as described here; however, you should be able to experience feelings and shadow of your past life.

Good memories will provoke good feelings. Conversely a bad past life memory will result in the same feelings as if you have had a bad dream. You will just wake up feeling uneasy, like you have had a nightmare. But please bear in mind that unpleasant memories, if indeed they are any, are an important part of the regression experience.

It is the remembering of this past life, which is important; and once you have remembered, you can start to move on. It is only the subconscious suppression of these memories which causes problems. By understanding and accepting what happened in the past you can start to experience this present life with a totally different outlook.

The philosophy of Karma says that when we are good examples in one life, while being committed to positive and kindly acts offer us good karma. As a result, for good, we receive good vibrations in our future lives, unless we become bad examples. If this happen, then our personal Karma changes and negative vibrations follow us throughout our future lives, until we suffer from them and then commit to becoming a good example in our own lifetime.

Not all people believe this idea because they thought that if someone was bad in the past life, there is no reason for him to suffer from the bad karma that might be due him in his past life. But the truth is, every one is entitled to have a new life ahead and every life is a chance to have a better life by choosing to do right in the current life.

Quick Weight Loss Tips

Weight loss products are very popular in the market nowadays. There are lots of weight loss programs, each one which claims to be more effective than the others. If we’ll try to look at it this industry is fast becoming a billion dollar business with the growing rate of Obesity and the health risks associated with it more and more people are now searching for ways to lose those unwanted pounds.

But in todays fast paced world people tend to resort to short cuts and will try almost anything just to get the physique they have always dreamed of. Thus the weight loss pills are born. Most people find it more convenient to just pop a pill and go on their daily routine to be easier than going through the dificult process of having to diet and exercise.

The other one is the weight-loss pill which is more widely used since it is more convenient and easier to use. But of course I do not endorse nor prohibit the use of these products. All I can say is that we do not know for sure the effect of these drugs if taken on a long term basis.

One of the most important reason for maintaining healthy body weight is both for physical and emotional well-being and preventing disease. Using drugs to speed up weight loss, burn extra fat or control obesity has always been irresistable.

Many dieters prefer to use weight loss pills or diet drugs to control their weight and shape rather than follow a healthy diet and exercise plan. However dependency on these drugs can also have negative effects on the body so intake of weight loss pills should be at a minimal and under the doctor’s approval.

Most people think that their weight problem is caused by not knowing when to stop eating. They thought that if they don’t feel hungry, they won’t eat as much and eventually will lose weight. Thus the creation of appetite suppressants. It is designed to lessen a person’s psychological craving for food.

I believe that these weight loss products can be helpful if you’re really serious in losing weight but we must keep in mind that we should have the discipline and strong will to stay motivated and try to have a sensible eating plan and exercise regimen. In this world where vanity is of extreme importance to most people the urgency to look good will be their motivation despite desperate measures.

But of course not all people are trying to lose weight just for vanity mostly it’s still for health concerns since obesity is associated to different kinds of diseases such as heart disease, eating disorders and many more which could lead to death. Still if you really need to take these drugs I think the ones made of natural ingredients are the best weight loss pills.

Organic Cotton – The Argument for Change

With close to half the world’s clothing made from its fiber, cotton is a significant and influential textile. Cotton fabric does not come about through magic, but is grown and processed from a shrub common to most parts of the world. Cotton shares a unique symbiosis with humans, and has woven itself into practically every society alive on Earth. While traditionally an eco-friendly textile – cotton uses less energy than wool in its life cycle – it can still leave a fair amount of environmental carnage in its wake when farmed through conventional means.

Conventionally farmed cotton corrupts far more than its fair share of the irrigable soil. Occupying only 3% of the world’s irrigable soil, conventional cotton accounts for over 20- 25% of the worlds pesticide use. Pesticides, detergents, bleaches, brightening agents, and equalizers are all utilized in it’s production. According to the WHO, conventional cotton farming is responsible for over 20,000 deaths per year in developing countries, while exposing others to a host of contaminates and carcinogens. These toxins quickly move from production facilities to local water supplies, food chains and top soils.

Organically farmed cotton needs much less in the way of soil irrigation than conventional cotton does, relieving pressure on water resources. Aside from pesticide and chemical concerns, sheer water economics and savings is cause enough to encourage the transition to organic and sustainable practices. Cotton is a crop used primarily for textile and clothing manufacture rather than human consumption, yet the environmental damage conventionally farmed cotton inflicts on is too extensive not to be deemed hazardous, and with over 80 countries involved in cotton production, its cultivation too widespread not to be seen as epidemic.

It hasn’t always been like this. The use of industrial chemicals in cotton production as a practice is only about 50 years old, making it a relatively new development by human standards. The need for a change from conventional to organic cotton farming is overwhelming, and not just for those directly involved in the process. Animal, mineral, or vegetable, few are spared from the effects of cotton textile production.

The Industrial process places a heavy chemical burden on the natural fibers of cotton. Organic farming practices can help. Chemical processing not only emits millions of pounds of airborne pollutants into the atmosphere each year, but can leave harmful residues in the fabrics of the garment. The skin is the largest and many will say its most important organ. Its sweat and oils can wick and absorb toxins. Organic cotton, not exposed to any astringent chemicals lets skin breathe freely.

The good news is with environmentally conscious business on the rise, organically grown cotton is quickly gaining in popularity. Established brand names such as Anvil and Fruit of the Loom, as well as upstarts like Econscious and Hae Now of California have implemented blending programs designed to introduce organic textiles as a fixture of the modern marketplace. Like many ecologically friendly products, organic cotton is about making responsible choices, but is also about creating a higher set of standards for the consumer, about letting the demands of the market serve as a positive catalyst of change. People want to feel comfortable in their own skin, they also want to buy conscience free goods, products without any harmful activity attached to them. Organic textiles, as well as the sustainable farming practices they nurture, are a blessing to the macro-ecology of the world at large, not to mention our common sense.
